TERMS AND AGREEMENTS OF SALE
The use of KECG Tech website is governed by the terms and agreement set forth below. Please read them carefully. Your use of the website indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. KECG Tech reserves the right to make changes to this website and the terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice. KECG Tech is a service provider to the website and is also referred to as ‘us’, ‘KECG Tech’, ‘vendor’, ‘we’. The customer is the individual or organisation who is using the website and its services, it is also referred to ‘you’, ‘customers’
1. Compatibility between all hardware or software products is not guaranteed. It is the customers responsibility to ensure compatibility issues between all hardware and software to be resolved prior to ordering.
2. KECG Tech has limited information regarding compatibility and will try to assist customers when possible, however customers are encouraged to do their own research first.
3. KECG Tech will only make recommendations and compatibility guarantee commitment in writing, thus customers are required to make a formal request for this in writing or by email.
4. It is generally recommended to purchase products made by the same manufacturer to ensure a higher chance of compatibility.

1. Our website provides a real time stock level availability indicator which can be described as follows:
1.1. In stock = Product is in-stock and ready to be dispatched within 1-2 business days
1.2. Order Only = Not in stock, special order to be placed with our supplier, may take 1-3 days average turnaround time to reach our warehouse. It is also subject to availability at our supplier.
1.3. Out Of Stock = Stock is temporarily unavailable from the supplier until further notice
2. All advertised products with the availability status ‘In Stock’ and ‘On Special’ are subject to “while stock last”. No guarantees of stock allocation until we confirm your order has been picked and scanned.
2.1. Lay-by or rainchecks are not available.
2.2. Item availability and prices are fluctuative and subject to change without notice. Always contact us for the latest information by phone or email.
2.3. Any order containing an Order Only item has to have at least a minimum of 20% deposit paid before we can place an order with our supplier.
2.4. Orders placed that are Ready for shipping but waiting for final payment will only be held for 5 working days.
2.5. For Order Only items, the final price and availability is subject to final confirmation from our supplier. If there’s any change to your order, we will endeavour to inform you within 72 hours during normal business hours.
2.6. Although we do our best to keep our stock levels up on most items, we cannot guarantee availability on all items so we encourage a formal query to be made especially for ‘Limited Stock’ status items prior to pickup (via email or telephone). Items in stock will be allocated and reserved only to customers with a formal purchase order or website order.
3. Products labelled Refurbished / Ex-Demo / Ex-Warranty:
3.1. At times KECG Tech offers products labelled as Refurbished / Ex-Demo / Ex-Warranty. This stock is not brand new and is generally from:
3.1.1. Might be as new condition but open box or box damaged
3.1.2. Stock used for display purposes
3.1.3. Customer returns for change of mind
3.1.4. Manufacturer replaced from warranty claims
3.1.5. Manufacturer refurbished from warranty claims
3.2. This stock is offered at a significantly discounted price from brand new stock.
3.3. Unless specified otherwise KECG Tech offers the same warranty periods on this stock as is for brand new stock.

RETURNS, REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND WARRANTY
1. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
1.1. All product returns sent by POST must be clearly addressed as follows (No Couriers accepted):

1.2. Customers must first apply for a return authorisation (RA) on our website before returning any product. In the case where access to our website is not available, customers can always contact our support team by lodging a query through our support site to obtain the return authorisation number. When returning a product, it must be returned with the RA number clearly visible outside the packaging. Products returned without an RA number will be rejected. 1.3. You can ask for a replacement or refund if the problem with a product is major. Within ACCC guidelines for refunds the following factors will be taken into account to determine the refund value:
1.3.1. How much time has passed since the product was purchased
1.3.2. Type of product
1.3.3. How a consumer is likely to use the product
1.3.4. The length of time for which it is reasonable for the product to be used
1.3.5. The amount of use it could reasonably be expected to tolerate before the failure becomes noticeable.
1.4. For purposes when calculating depreciation, lifetime warranty products will be based on 5 years.
1.5. We may accept returns of goods without incurring a restocking fee if the item(s) meet all the following criteria:
1.5.1. The product has not been opened
1.5.2. The product is not a special order product (Product is not “Order Only” or “At Supplier” status and is readily stocked by KECG Tech)
1.5.3. The product is not in large quantity (greater than 3 units)
1.5.4. The product value is less than $1,000
1.5.5. The product is returned within 5 business days of purchase
1.6. As of 11:30 AM (AEST) 02/06/21 KECG Tech will no longer accept change of mind returns for products outside of the above criteria.
1.7. All change of mind returns (even those within the above criteria) are subject to KECG Tech’s inspection & final approval.
1.8. The final credit or refund provided will be based on the lesser value of either the original purchase price or current selling price.
1.9. Returns of products that have been dropped/damaged/modified/tampered/manufacturer labels removed will not be accepted. Goods that have already been opened are subject to our testing and approval and may require additional time to process. Returns of software or games will not be accepted unless it’s for a warranty claim.
1.10. Advance replacement is only available for certain products where this is stated in the product description. Please contact us for instructions on how to arrange this.
1.11. KECG Tech offers a 7 days new for new replacement guarantee based on DOA (Dead On Arrival). Whereby if a product purchased by customer is found to be faulty in 7 days of ‘receiving’ (if sent by courier) and/or date of invoice, KECG Tech will guarantee an instant new replacement (subject to stock availability) or customer can also choose a store credit or a refund. This will be subject to our approval once the product has been returned to us and tested. All shipping costs involved in processing of DOA goods will be fully covered by KECG Tech. Product claimed under DOA are to be returned to us within the 7 days period of claiming DOA as otherwise it’ll be treated as a normal warranty claim.
1.12. Advance replacement is only available for DOA items if customers purchase and pay for the same item again and once the faulty product is returned and approved to meet the warranty terms and condition, we will then credit/refund their account. We will do our best to speed up the process of warranty returns provided all products returned are meeting the warranty terms and conditions. (see below)
1.13. If goods received are not as per ordered, please inform KECG Tech within 24 hours of receiving the delivery, do not open any packaging or use the goods as it will be deemed an acceptance of goods and will not be accepted for return. KECG Tech may pack non retail boxed items using reused packaging materials for added protection (e.g. hard drive packed inside an empty retail box of another item).
1.14. There will be no credit or refund given on the price difference of the ordered items due to price drops once the product has been processed and shipped out. Prices of computer parts are volatile and we do not control the price fluctuations.
1.15. We do not accept any returns of any opened and used products that may breach the health & safety regulations such as headsets, ear pieces and headphones, unless the item is faulty under the warranty terms.
1.16. KECG Tech reserves the title of ownership for any extra or incorrect goods shipped as result of our error. We will arrange any extra shipments to recover these goods, and cover the cost in resolving this issue.
2.1. Cancellation of orders involving a computer system that is already built, will be charged at least a minimum of 20% restocking fee. This is to cover for our time and depreciation of opened goods.
2.2. Cancellation of any order that has all items picked and scanned, that has been either partly or fully paid, will result in a minimum 15% deduction from the total order amount to be refunded, this will be waived if KECG Tech cannot supply the goods due to our own fault/supplier problems.
2.3. Cancellation of specially ordered items (Order Only) that is already ordered at the supplier/confirmed/instock will attract a minimum fee of 15% deducted from the order value/deposit paid.. Except if KECG Tech cannot supply the item you ordered, in which case the entire deposit or payment will be refunded to you in full.
2.4. Cancellation must be informed to us ‘in writing’ as soon as possible, any cancellation after a product has been packed and shipped out will result in the customer liable for all shipping and handling charges as well as any cancellation fees that may apply.
2.5. KECG Tech reserves the right to cancel any order that is ready for customer to pickup/for delivery after 3 working days of non payment or non contact by customer. Any deposits paid will be forfeited by the customer.
3.1. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
3.2. Upon KECG Tech testing the products if the fault is determined as a major failure the customer can choose:
3.2.1. a refund
3.2.2. an identical replacement, or one of similar value if reasonably available
3.3. If the fault is determined as a minor failure KECG Tech will choose to:
3.3.1. Repair the goods
3.3.2. Replace the goods
3.3.3. Offer a refund
3.4. Some products provide a local or direct manufacturer to customer warranty service. These products include printers, scanners, UPS and monitors and many other retail products. It is the customer’s choice to either use these services or return the product back to KECG Tech. We strongly encourage usage of these services as it generally provides faster turnaround times and may sometimes be an onsite service where the service is performed at the customer’s premises. Please read the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for the specific details. 3.5. All products sold by KECG Tech, unless specified otherwise, carry a full manufacturer warranty. KECG Tech will process all warranty claims with the manufacturer on behalf of customers unless the manufacturer has a direct warranty option to the customer. Some products do offer an extended limited warranty which customers may require registration with the manufacturer. In the event of a manufacturer or supplier closure, we will endeavour to fulfil our warranty commitments however we can not guarantee the outcome.
3.6. Any product returned for a warranty claim, depending on its age and availability, will generally be repaired, replaced with new or refurbished, upgraded or refunded by the manufacturers.
3.7. Manufacturers offering lifetime warranty refer to the lifetime of the product (assuming the product is still available from the manufacturer) unless specified otherwise. In the event that the product becomes obsolete, it may be upgraded to a similar product or a credit will be given at the current market value or purchased price whichever is lower; however the outcome is entirely dependent on each manufacturer’s policy.
3.8. KECG Tech does not handle warranty returns for products that already provide a local or direct manufacturer to customer warranty service. These products include printers, scanners, networking products and monitors and many other retail products. Please read the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for the specific details. If you are unable to find manufacturer technical support contact, you can contact us and we may be able to assist you in finding the manufacturer technical support contact details.
3.9. Warranty is provided solely on products sold by KECG Tech. Other faulty products used in conjunction that are not purchased from KECG Tech will not be covered under warranty.
3.10. Any product sold by KECG Tech is meant to be professionally installed; improper installation is NOT covered under warranty. Please seek professional assistance if required, to avoid paying any unnecessary cost for replacement or repair.
3.11. Systems built by KECG Tech come with a Tamper Proof warranty sticker to the back of the case in every system built. This is done as part of our Quality Control. It is not used to prevent customers from accessing the inside of their computer in the future. Removal of this warranty sticker will only void any claims of loss, incomplete, damaged hardware, or incorrectly installed hardware in a system upon arrival. Customers should be able to verify their computer components in the system through software without opening up the case. When a KECG Tech system is deemed faulty or contains incorrect configuration we require that systems to be returned to us with the warranty sticker still attached to ensure there has been no tampering. By removing this sticker customer will also accept to pay for any labour/courier costs associated with future warranty claims of the system.
3.12. Systems built by KECG Tech come as standard with a 1 year labour warranty which covers for the entire servicing requirement when the system requires servicing such as repair or upgrades. When your system has any hardware failure, KECG Tech will rebuild/repair back to its original condition at no extra charge. Labour warranty covers only the hardware and its original operating system/software that KECG Tech installed (must be purchased from KECG Tech only), so it does not include any hardware/software troubleshooting or repair that we did not originally install.
3.13. KECG Tech does NOT cover any software installation issues e.g. drivers or system software updates for any computer where KECG Tech did not install the software originally. Should any warranty claims arise where software is at fault, installed by the customer, standard charges will apply.
3.14. KECG Tech is not responsible for any data loss; backing up of data is the responsibility of the customer. KECG Tech does not provide a backup or data recovery service when sending hard disks for warranty claims. Hard drives sent for warranty are always replaced with a new/refurbished unit. KECG Tech will provide the customer with a repair notice before accepting any product where:
3.14.1. The product being refunded/repaired/replaced is capable of retaining user-generated data, for example, mobile phones, computers, hard drives
3.14.2. Refurbished product may be provided rather than repair, or refurbished parts are used in the repair of defective products.
3.15. KECG Tech will NOT be liable in any way for incidental, consequential or indirect loss resulting from faulty systems or parts. KECG Tech is not responsible for any data loss; backing up of data is the responsibility of the customer. KECG Tech does not provide a backup or data recovery service when sending hard disks for warranty claims. Hard drives sent for warranty are always replaced with a new/refurbished unit.
3.16. Warranty will be void for any non-manufacturing defects, if the item is found to be mishandled, modified, tampered, abused, physically damaged, improperly installed and used, or damaged caused by power surges, electrical faults and lightning strikes. Products returned that show evidence of user induced damage, overclocking, tampering or modification, will be denied. This includes improper installation of the CPU heatsink, scratches on motherboard, failure of fan/heatsink, cutting of cables or the soldering of components.
3.17. Under the Return to Base warranty policy, all shipping charges for any product returned to KECG Tech incurred in a warranty claim will be at the expense of the customer. KECG Tech will only pay for the return freight to the customer, except for rejected warranty, non faulty returns or bulky items older than 6 months from date of invoice.
3.18. Warranty must be properly packaged in the condition acceptable by the vendor. (please provide original packaging if possible or adequate safe packaging as insufficient safe packaging that caused physical damage will result in warranty being voided)
3.19. Turnaround time for warranty returns may depend on the availability of the replacement product from the manufacturer. The process of warranty returns involves the shipping of warranty to KECG Tech, product testing time, obtaining approval from the supplier, the shipping of warranty to our supplier, supplier’s own testing, shipment back to us, testing of the part if its a repaired item, and finally shipment back to the end user.
3.20. A large percentage of warranty returns are tested to be without fault. In the event the product is not faulty, KECG Tech reserves the right to charge a maximum labour fee of $90 per product for time spent on testing the product. Any shipping or handling costs will also be chargeable to the customer.
3.21. KECG Tech will only be responsible for uncollected warranty products for a maximum period of 60 days. If the customer does not collect their goods within this time period KECG Tech will dispose of the goods by following the disposing of uncollected goods policy of the Australian Consumer Law.
4. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
4.1. Warranty cover will not apply to:
4.1.1. Any product that has not been installed in accordance with the installation instruction supplied by the equipment manufacturer or damaged due to incorrect installation.
4.1.2. Any product that is repaired or altered by anyone other than authorised KECG Tech service personnel where a product disassembled or repaired in such a manner that performance or functionality is affected.
4.2. Any product that fails or is damaged as a result of improper storage, operation under abnormal conditions misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, act of God or maladjustment of consumer controls. Short circuiting the equipment will be considered misuse and will cause the product not to be covered by the warranty.
4.3. Accessories and consumable goods such as keyboard, mouse and joystick if they are a result of heavy use, or show signs of normal wear and tear.
4.4. Any defect or damage caused by or resulting from the connection or attachment to the product that has not been approved by the manufacturer for connection or attachment to the product.
4.5. Defects or damage due to spills of liquid or other substances (water damage, dust, cigarette), excessive temperature or humidity and environmental conditions.
4.6. Aesthetic or surface damage or scratches to all plastic surfaces and other external parts damaged due to normal customer use.
4.7. Any cost of hardware or software removal or reinstallation. Removal of parts from a system if it’s not bought as a system will attract labour charge.
4.8. Any product or part thereof which has suffered through alteration or defacement of the serial number or warranty seals as such where an unauthorised service personnel opening the product without permission from KECG Tech.
GENERAL POLICIES / DISCLAIMERS
1.1. All prices quoted on the website are inclusive of GST, but do not include delivery, and are based on payment by Direct Deposit or Cash Payments.
1.2. Payments via credit card will incur 1.8% surcharge and payments via PayPal will incur additional 2.6% surcharge in addition to the price.
1.3. All products advertised do not include the cost for any installation or troubleshooting compatibility issues. If you require assistance on installation/troubleshooting, this will be charged at our standard labour charge of $220/hour (inc. GST).
1.4. If the services are required on-site, there will be a call out fee of $90 (inc. GST) + 1 hour of minimum labour charge at the rate of $220/hour (inc. GST). After the first hour, labour will be charged in 15 minute blocks.
1.5. As errors and omissions may occur, pricing, product information and availability is not final until it has been confirmed by KECG Tech staff either by email, phone or in person.
1.6. KECG Tech does not match pricing of the competitors directly because the market price fluctuates with many variables involved. However we are always happy to take a look at the order/quote pricing for you, if you believe there is a pricing discrepancy listed on the KECG Tech website.
1.7. All prices are subject to change without notice. By placing the order, the customer has agreed to pay the prices as listed on the order form at the time the order was originally submitted. However, we reserve the right to increase/reduce the price for items that are not in-stock (stock with order only status) at the time of ordering as final/latest pricing can only be confirmed at the time of purchase from our supplier. For all other items that are in-stock or order that is already completed, the price will remain as is, we will not offer rebate or reimbursement of price differences in this situation.
2. SALES TAX
2.1. All of our advertised prices on KECG Tech website are already inclusive of GST.
2.2. • We are registered to collect GST on behalf of ATO, our ABN no is 63 602 056 459, GST components (10% Goods and Services Tax) are shown per individual item in our invoices.
2.3. You are not required to give your ABN number when purchasing products from us unless you are a Government, Education or Corporate customer.
2.4. We do not sell duty free to anyone including overseas travellers. However, for overseas travellers, you are able to purchase from us and claim back the GST from the customs department before you leave as long as you provide the invoice/receipt and will depart within 30 days from the purchase date. This is an Australian Border Force policy. Australian Border Force may change their terms and policies without notice. Please check out the Australian Border Force website for full terms on GST refunds for overseas travelers.
3. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARKS
3.1. KECG Tech owns the copyright and trademarks to all our intellectual properties which include the word KECG Tech, its website and logo. Any person/business entity who uses it without our prior written consent will be deemed as breaching the copyright law and we will seek legal claims.
3.2. Manufacturer’s images, trademarks and links used within our websites are reserved copyrights and trademarks of their respective owners.
3.3. All original images as well as links are used to allow more up-to-date and accurate information to be passed onto the visitor’s of this website. If customers do find there is any product or images that is inaccurate we will be appreciative if they let us know as we endeavour to correct it immediately.
3.4. We do not own or publish the contents of the information within the links, we are only acting as a reseller of the products.
4. SHIPPING & INSURANCE
4.1. All prices listed for each product on the website are for cash and pickup payment, and are not inclusive of any shipping charges or insurance.
4.2. Starting from September 1st 2021, any freight charges we quoted are for shipping only and do not include any insurance cover. Insurance is optional and charged according to the order value and only covers a maximum value of $50,000 per courier order and for the transit of goods shipped from KECG Tech to the customer only. Thus any courier orders which have any goods damaged or lost that insurance has not been paid, will not be replaced/reimbursed. Customer is encouraged to take up insurance if they wish to protect themselves against any damage/loss items in transit.
4.3. KECG Tech does not currently process and ship orders to an overseas address, or has an overseas contact address or paid using an overseas credit card.
4.4. All shipping addresses must have complete contact details that can be verified by a phone number (as listed in the Whitepages).
4.5. We do not ship orders to a third party, unless KECG Tech can fully verify all the addresses and contact details as per our requirement.
4.6. Delivery to work or non residential addresses must be accompanied with full verifiable details such as company name, address, phone number and contact name.
4.7. The customer is responsible to be available for delivery and to sign and accept the goods, redelivery attempts may cost extra and may be passed on to the customer if delivery address is unattended.
4.8. Redirection of your delivery is available at an extra cost and must be firstly authorised through KECG Tech, as non-authorised redirection will incur hefty charges and will forfeit any insurance claims for loss or damage.
4.9. In the event of a refund, any shipping and insurance charges are not refundable unless it is genuinely our fault.
4.10. The customer is responsible for all extra freight charges, which include redelivery, redirection, refused shipments and incorrectly given delivery details.
4.11. Customers can track their order using the consignment numbers given in your email confirmation and delivery status can be tracked via the courier’s website
4.12. Shipping charges are calculated by the cubic size or its dead weight, whichever is more.
4.13. Goods shipped are packed with adequate protective packing materials, as a result, this may increase the size and weight, however, the risk of damage is minimised greatly.
4.14. All claims for damage/theft must be filed with KECG Tech, we will not file this for you. If goods received seem to have damaged packaging, do not open any original packaging or use the item as it will be deemed as an acceptance of goods and will not be accepted for returns. All original boxes and packing material must be returned to us for proof of evidence. All claims for shortages/incorrect shipment/incorrect billing must be made within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
4.15. KECG Tech will not be held responsible for goods lost or arrived damaged if customers use their own couriers.
4.16. Split Shipments may incur individual shipping charges.

5.3. We require an advanced payment (or a minimum of 20% deposit) for any specially ordered item (ORDER ONLY status) items or large orders. Balance of payment must be paid on pickup or before goods can be delivered. This 20% is refundable if we can not fulfil your order but will be lost if customer cancel their order)
5.4. For large orders or special order/custom built-systems valued over $1,000, we require the order to be fully prepaid (paid in full) before any system can be built or deliveries can be made.
5.5. Please be aware that if you are doing direct deposit payment using internet banking from a different bank other than ANZ, it may take up to 48 hours to show up in our account. We do not ship orders out until payment is fully confirmed to be ‘cleared’ funds in our account.
5.6. Direct deposit payments must be referenced to the order number otherwise a processing delay could occur. KECG Tech will not be held responsible for any delays incurred as a result of incorrect or lack of detail in the payment. Customer is encouraged to contact Accounts via email at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as they have made their payment.
5.7. Payment by any type of cheque is subject to a banking clearance period of 3-5 working days, we do not process or ship out goods until cheque payments have been cleared.
5.8. For all fully paid pick up orders, a driver’s licence request will be made on arrival to verify the individual picking up the order
6. CREDIT CARD
6.1. When paying by credit card, the customer must be contactable on a landline at the listed delivery address or work address, mobile phone or unlisted numbers will require further verification. We do not accept payment of credit card sent via email or overseas customers who have foreign credit card.
6.2. The customer will be required to email a copy their credit card via email or drivers licence when placing an order with credit card details that are not verifiable.
6.3. If paying by credit card, the customer must provide accurate details and give authority to KECG Tech to be able to verify their details with their financial institution. KECG Tech may refuse to accept a credit card payment if it is deemed to have insufficient or unverifiable information.
6.4. All customers have the option for a once off full credit card verification upon their first order, which involves KECG Tech charging a random amount from your order total. Customer will be required to verify the amount charged on their credit card with their financial institution and contact KECG Tech with the correct amount – the customer will then achieve a ‘Fully Verified’ status. The fully verified status enables the customer to place future orders without going through any further verification process. This method is highly recommended as it will allow the customer full security and flexibility of online ordering in terms of order amount and delivery options.
PRIVACY STATEMENT & POLICY
1. KECG Tech is highly committed in complying with the Australian and International privacy laws and to protect our customers’ privacy.
2. KECG Tech collects details from its customers for the sole purpose of processing the customer’s order more efficiently and to allow customers to fully experience and benefit from our online ordering features.
3. All customer and credit card data is securely processed and encrypted through the payment gateway to offer the highest level of protection possible. The payment gateway and Stripe adheres to the highest security standards set by Visa and MasterCard. During the payment gateway transactions, KECG Tech does not store the credit card personal details
4. KECG Tech does not disclose, sell or trade any collected information of its customers to any third parties other than those used to provide customer feedback or to verify the order, such as banks, payment processing gateway or the financial issuer of credit card.
5. KECG Tech does not disclose any information about our suppliers to anyone unless it is deemed necessary.
6. KECG Tech provides your contact number and email information to delivery partners (Australia Post & Star Track) to ensure customers are kept up to date on their delivery status. You can find their privacy policies here (Auspost and StarTrack).
7. KECG Tech will use email and SMS whenever possible to keep the customer informed of their order status.
